How we ship live fish
Live fish travel overnight and are packed to arrive healthy. We ship on set days each week so your fish never sit in a warehouse over a weekend.
Ship days
We ship Monday through Wednesday. Orders placed after the cutoff go out the following week. You will choose an available delivery date at checkout.
Carrier and delivery
All orders ship overnight. Please choose a delivery day when someone can receive the box, since fish should not sit outside or be left unattended.
Weather
We may hold shipments during extreme heat or cold. Heat and cold packs are available at checkout when the weather calls for them.
When your box arrives
- Bring the box inside and open it promptly.
- Float the sealed bags in your tank for about 15 minutes to match the temperature.
- Acclimate the fish slowly to your water before adding them.
- Dim the lights for the first few hours.
- Take a photo or short video of any problem right away.
Dead on arrival
If a fish arrives dead, email us a clear photo or video within 2 hours of delivery, with your order number. We will review it and offer a credit or a replacement, depending on availability.
